These two were the best of friends! The photo was taken just one day before Sparky (my dog) passed away, Kitten (a.k.a. Maverick) passed away just a few short months behind him. Now that was hard! I still cry when I think about them!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments! It's really hard to find animal lovers especially cat lovers around where we live. Nothing makes me happier than to be surrounded by the purr of a cat or cats....I love them all.

This is Mama, the rescued kitty who was abandoned by her prior owners who left her out in the cold and nearly starved and froze to death trying to give birth to three kittens and raise them. Notice her ears? That's from frostbite. She was so under-nourished that we don't know how she and her babies managed to survive. All are doing great now. Friends of Feral Cats, Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada
