Greta, I know what you're feeling. My Mum and I were behind a car that hit a kitty many years ago, and although we stopped to help, there was nothing we could do. We were devastated. To this day I cannot get that image out of my mind. It really haunts me. Try and think happy thoughts....we're all thinking of you.
